The annual ACM Web3D Conference is a major event which unites researchers, developers, entrepreneurs, experimenters, artists and content creators in a dynamic learning environment. Attendees share and explore methods of using, enhancing and creating new 3D Web and Multimedia technologies such as X3D, VRML, Collada, MPEG family, U3D, Java3D and other technologies. The Web3D Consortium
The Web3D Consortium is a nonprofit organization that develops and maintains the X3D, VRML, and H-Anim standards - 3D file formats and runtime specifications for the delivery and integration of interactive 3D data over networks: open, royalty-free and ISO-ratified.
The Consortium works closely with the ISO, MPEG and W3C standardization bodies to maximize market opportunities for its membership.
